The Wayne and Rigid sump pumps with the non-free floating switch (the switch that just moves up and down on a fixed pole) work much, much better. We had to have 2 switches replaced on this sump pump within 2 years. The switch went out after 1 year, and the replacement switch went out after another year. Will replace most pedestal pumps with no plumbing changes.
