Things like Friday Free Flicks, Hula Hooping for Fitness, the St. Patrick’s Festival, Day 4 Kids, the Halloween Festival, Racing Kids Esteem, and anything else that the Program Supervisor may have up her sleeve (its not looking as active right... My only question is why there is so little for kids to do around here when there are lots and lots of kids that live here. The Maritime Museum takes us about 15 minutes, 20 if we really milk it. The aquarium rocks but our membership has ended and we will not renew it since we’re moving in the summer. Before having my little one, I worked at the Parks and Recretation Center working on a number of children’s programs. I moved up north to Boston after completing school and worked there for five years as an inner-city middle and high school history teacher. So, that’s 3 reliable places that I’ve been able to take my kids in the past 4 years that we’ve lived here. 2007 was a big year for us – we welcomed our son, Nathan, Chad finished school, and we moved to Jacksonville for a great job opportunity for Chad. Life can be a little busy around here (hello – three kids under the age of four. It’s become increasingly difficult for me to try and find fun family things to do on a weekend when we are all at home but don’t want to stay home.
