   Not only are we seeing the warmest start to the year on record in Chicago, so is New York City, Boston, Tampa, Nashville and Philadelphia. Warmer-than-average temperatures were present for a large portion of the nation during April with nine states in the Central and Northeast regions having April temperatures ranking among their ten warmest.   Only one day did not feature temperatures above average and that day turned out to be right at average.  Nationwide, April was the third warmest on record following the warmest March on record.   We have averaged 7 per day above average so far.
