SeaClear System II Help - Marine Depot Forums

If I leave the drip tray in place, most of the waters drips right through into the bio-ball compartment and only SOME of the water drips into the media tray.   The were going to change this into a venturi skimmer using a Maxi Jet powerhead (I think it was a maxi jet). 2) If I don't convert the bio-ball area into a refugium, how do I get water to flow into the Chemical Media Tray. 1) I thought about converting the Bio-Ball area in the back of the tank to more of a "natural" filtration/refugium area. Welcome to the Marine Depot Forums.   I haven't seen this done before, but I am sure someone has done it.   I am not sure if you could raise the pump some to prevent this or if there is some other way of preventing this. 2)  I don't have any experience with this, but would it be possible to add a small powerhead to push water into the chemical media area. 3)  I know long ago the add on skimmer was an airdriven skimmer.   Additionally, the water that enters the media tray looks like it just runs in and runs out.   I know SeaClear has one that is an add-on specifically for this setup, but it does not come with a pump.   If they have not changed over to the venturi skimmer, then a powerful airpump like the Coralife Luft pump would be great.   If they have now changed over to the venturi one, a Maxi Jet 1200 I think would work. 1)  Yes it is possible for sand or mud to get sucked into the powerhead in the compartment.
